Prairie Medical Acupuncture Clinic

Prairie Medical Acupuncture Clinic was founded in April, 2007 by Dr. Priscila Kerr, a Brazilian family physician with 5 years postgraduate specialization in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. Dr. Kerr and her husband moved from Brazil to Winnipeg to build a new life. Both are permanent residents of Canada as of February, 2007.

Dr. Kerr’s 5-year postgraduate training program was evaluated by The Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture Association of Canada and Dr. Kerr passed all the required exams and achieved Canadian licensure as a specialist in Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. Dr. Kerr is not a licensed physician in Canada.

The Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture Association of Canada was federally incorporated in 1983 in order to unite, certify and regulate practitioners across the country.

Increasingly, more insurance companies recognize and reimburse for acupuncture services including Great West Life and Blue Cross.

The Prairie Medical Acupuncture Clinic is located within the Manitoba Clinic and employs the latest techniques and treatments in Chinese Medicine for treating pain, chronic diseases, weight control, depression and many other diagnoses.

The Manitoba Clinic is a private, multi-specialty medical clinic, founded in 1946.
